I have been creating sculpture and installation art for well over 30 years. Most often I work with clay but like to mix things up and make time for theater projects and site works too. Lately my work work has become edgier due to environmental threats and fractious politics.

My husband I just recently moved to the beautiful little hill town of Leverett, Massachusetts from Hamilton, a suburb North of Boston. I love the inspiration I get from the streams and rocks tucked away in the hills and fields of the Pioneer Valley.

The shared act of making is a huge source of energy and ideas which is why I love sharing my studio with students and friends. The communal act of creating is something I treasure and always hope to be involved with.

I earned a BFA in Sculpture from UMass in 1981 and have exhibited my work in the Boston area since the early '90s. Before that I was in graphic design for 10 years. I have owned and run a teaching studio for 18 years, designed set pieces and made creatures for the stage, am a past member of the New England Sculptor’s Association and am very proud to have been a co-founder and participant in the outdoor art show “Art Grows Here,” which runs annually each summer  in Hamilton and Wenham, Massachusetts. Today I work independently in my studio, teach a few students and maintain a "day job." I am also getting t know my community better by staying involved with the Local Cultural Council.

Thanks so much for your interest and please be in touch if you have questions about my work or about classes.
